15 minute readThe latest update to the Nacsport Hub brings two new products to the Hub range as well as a whole load of new features and improvements to the OG Hub platform that you all know and love.
So, without further ado, let’s take a look at everything that is included in this update, starting with Hub Exchange and Hub Referee…
Nacsport Hub Exchange is an online platform which gives every club in your league equal access to the power of video performance analysis, helping to improve the standard and visibility of competitions.
This is especially useful for leagues, competitions and sports which do not generally have access to video footage of their games, such as TV feeds or downloads from data providers.
The basic premise of Exchange is that you create a schedule for your league or competition.
You then add representatives from teams who are participating in the Exchange scheme as administrators.
Each administrator is given access to the platform in order to upload game videos and documents where they can then be downloaded by any other administrator.
This allows teams to perform an analysis of their own performance or an opposition analysis for upcoming games.
Check out our landing page for more info about Exchange and, if you think it could be beneficial to you and your league, contact us for a free trial.
We’ve also prepared the following tutorial video which shows exactly how the platform works:
Hub Referee is an all-in-one solution for the management and evaluation of game officials and their performance.
Similar to Exchange, Referee allows you to comprehensively create schedules for league and cup competitions and upload videos of games for analysis.
But in addition to this, Referee allows you to individually add all the game officials associated with your league to the platform. From there, you can assign referee teams to every game in the schedule. Each official will receive a notification of their game assignments and will be able to accept or reject them.
Referee also has the facility for analysing each game and rating an official’s performance during it. This allows you to monitor each of your referees throughout a whole season or competition and see where improvements need to be made.
This is just scratching the surface of what can be done with Hub Referee. Please check out the dedicated Referee page on our website for more information.
Again, if you’re in need of a platform for managing game officials, get in touch with us for a free trial and consultation.

Ok, let’s move on to talk about some of the other tools and features that have been added to the Hub platform.
Possibly the most requested feature of this update, you can now directly download your video clips directly from the Hub platform.
To do this, select the clips that you want to download. Clips can be downloaded from anywhere on the platform, including presentations and the play-by-play table. Right-click on the selected clips and select Download clips.

Confirm the download by clicking Add clips to download queue.
The download queue will open and the clips that you have selected will be prepared for download. This may take a few minutes, depending on how many clips you have selected. When ready, the clips will be downloaded automatically to your hard drive*.
If you close the download queue during this process, clips will have to be downloaded manually.
This can be done by opening the Download queue again. This can be found by clicking on your profile picture in the upper-right and selecting it from this menu.

The clips here will be queued for a maximum of 30 days and you can download them at any time. Simply, click View clips and select the clip that you want to download.

Each clip will be downloaded as a separate video file.
Please note: When downloading clips from videos with multi-angles, the angle that you are currently viewing will be the one that is downloaded.
*Automatic download of clips may be blocked by your browser, especially if there is a pop-up blocker extension installed. Please add an exception for the Hub platform or disable the pop-up blocker otherwise clips will have to be downloaded manually.
Another much requested feature is the ability to share game videos between different sub accounts while keeping the analysis and tagged data safe in the original sub account.
Now, Super Administrators and Administrators can create a video shortcut for any video in any sub account which will be placed in the Public folder that is shared by every account.
From here, all administrators will be able to access the video and create their own shortcut which can be shared with Standard Users in their own sub account.
To create a video shortcut, follow these steps:

The shortcut will now be available in the Public folder. Video shortcuts will be identified with an arrow icon on the thumbnail.

Videos which do not show this icon have been directly uploaded to the Public folder.
From here, any sub account can copy the shortcut and add it to their own account.
To do this:

The video shortcut will now be shown in the sub account.
When a sub account Administrator wants to delete a video which has an associated shortcut, it will not be deleted directly from the sub account. This will prevent deletion of videos which other sub accounts are using.
Now, when a sub account deletes the original video, it will instead be moved to the Public folder. The arrow icon will disappear, indicating that the video is now fully associated with the Public folder.
From here, only a Super Administrator can completely delete the video from the account.
When a Super Administrator deletes a video from the Public folder, any sub account which has a copy of the shortcut will receive a notification telling them that the video will be deleted.
If they want to keep the video, they can make a copy of the video and place it in their own sub account.
To do this:
Sub accounts will have a grace period of seven days to make a copy of a deleted video before it disappears completely from the account.
This feature makes it easier for Standard Users to navigate the platform.
Accessing the folder structure is something that is already available to Administrators and Super Administrators, and now it’s available for Standard Users.
To access the folder structure, Standard Users can click on this icon in the top left of the menu:

*Important: After this update, standard users will only be able to see shared videos and files that are in the currently selected folder, as opposed to the global view they currently have. Please advise all standard users about this change.
This is another new feature which is designed to improve communication at your organisation.
Superposts allow Administrators and Super Administrators to communicate with each other outside of sub accounts.
To create a superpost, go to the Team Channel and click on the new post icon. A new option appears here which is labelled Superposts.

Click this and write your post as normal. You can tag @Everyone in the post, but remember, these will only be visible to Administrators and Super Administrators. You can also tag individuals as normal.
Please be aware that you cannot add videos or presentations to these superposts, but you can add images and create polls.
Lastly, Super Administrators have the ability to disable superposts from the settings menu.

The Nacsport Hub app also gets an update to keep it in line with the web platform.
This update includes the following features:
The update for the Hub app will be made available via the Play Store or App Store as soon as the update for the web platform drops.

All of the above-mentioned tools are available on the Hub platform now, depending on the type of account you have.
If you have any questions about how to use or access these features, please do not hesitate to get in contact with our team and we will be glad to point you in the right direction.
